Role Purpose
The role provides the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s largest Global System Integrators, building strategic relationships and developing high‑value technology opportunities into a key account for SCC. Sellers have strong autonomy to shape account strategy while being supported by SCC’s broad portfolio of vendors, services and specialist business units. It is a high‑visibility role with significant opportunity to grow and make a measurable commercial impact. You will develop and increase ongoing revenues and margin contribution from a named account(s) through proactive sales of the full range of SCC products & services.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage and grow customer relationships at all levels and appropriate departments within the customer(s) and orchestrate senior SCC Executive engagement into your customers.
* Articulate the customer challenge and create a joint plan with the BU to propose suitable solutions for the client and drive a blend of Product and Services in line with the company’s set vision.
* Identify, create, develop and campaign sales opportunities within existing customers, fully qualified to align to the client’s board strategy and objectives.
* Provide campaign leadership: lead and orchestrate virtual internal and external teams on all sales opportunities.
* Maintain, expand and build engagement of vendors and partners within the account base, managing these engagements to drive sales growth and margin.
* Perform account relationship targeting, development and creation of an effective Account Plan in SalesHub. Undertake regular campaign and opportunity planning to maximise sales effectiveness in line with the account plan. Take accountability of the activities performed by the virtual team to build close plans to retire the aligned target and meet the ratio of services and products.
* Work effectively with SCC solution experts in defining the right proposition for a specific client requirement.
* Maintain an accurate and timely forecast in SalesHub. In line with the account plans and within SalesHub, create, maintain and grow associated contacts, campaigns and customer data. Build out effective marketing plans to drive in‑year margin.
* Identify opportunity and risk to SCC – both operational, commercial and legal. Take into consideration the financial imperatives within SCC in relation to all sales opportunities within the designated accounts. For example, using Payment Solutions to maximise the in‑year margin contribution for SCC.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrable technology infrastructure and services sales experience and proven success driving enterprise‑size projects into FTSE 500 and / or public sector organisations with framework experience.
* Extensive technology and services knowledge aligned to business outcomes and can articulate this well whilst communicating effectively with the client up to all CxO levels.
* Proven experience of selling IT Consulting, Professional and Managed Services and/or Enterprise class solutions.
* High level of business and commercial awareness with a proven record of successful negotiation at senior levels.
* Proven track record with continued and sustainable growth within previous client engagements.
* Security clearance or willingness to apply will be required for this role. Must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts.
