Job Description Religious Studies / Sociology Graduate – Learning Support Assistant Kensington & Chelsea – September 2025 Start Are you a recent Religious Studies or Sociology Graduate looking to gain practical experience in education? This rewarding Learning Support Assistant role in Kensington & Chelsea offers the chance to inspire and guide young people, while developing your own skills for a future career in teaching, pastoral care, or youth work. Full-time, term-time position from September 2025 Competitive daily rate of £105 (PAYE) Gain valuable classroom and pastoral experience supporting students aged 16–19 Ideal preparation for careers in teaching, pastoral support, social research, or youth engagement Work within a supportive team, with guidance from experienced SEN professionals Convenient Kensington & Chelsea location with excellent transport links Role and Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs Draw on your subject expertise in Religious Studies or Sociology to encourage debate, reflection, and social awareness Support students with both academic tasks and personal development, promoting resilience and inclusivity Assist teachers and the SENCO in delivering tailored learning plans Contribute to a positive classroom environment and wider school community ethos Person Specification Degree in Religious Studies, Sociology, Theology, or a related discipline Previous experience supporting young people desirable (e.g., mentoring, tutoring, youth groups, or community projects) Strong communication and empathy skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students A patient, proactive graduate who is passionate about education and young people’s development This is an excellent opportunity for a Religious Studies or Sociology Graduate to gain first-hand experience in a respected Sixth Form, while helping students to thrive academically and personally.
