The Agri placement role:The role is ultimately to support the Agriculture Supply Chain Manager with working on retailer agricultural projects, delivering customer agricultural strategies and maintaining compliance throughout our pork supply chains.Main Duties:Being responsible for the upkeep of a retailer approved supply list, to ensure compliance through our entire supply chain.Working with certification bodies and farming businesses to maintain retailer specific certification standards.Organising retailer specific audits with farming businesses and supporting on any action required from those audit findingsCompiling and submitting crucial monthly KPI reporting to all retail customers on health and welfare related outcomesWorking with the Agriculture Supply Chain Manager to deliver retailer specific agriculture strategiesSupporting the Agriculture Supply Chain Manager with management of retailer aligned producer group projectsDeveloping key knowledge in new business areasWhat are we looking for?Student studying Science or Agriculture related subject, with a minimum of a 2:1 forecast for the end of year twoSomeone with a keen interest in the agriculture and livestock sector in particularA willingness to learnAbility to maintain and grow relationships with all levels internally and externallyPresents a can-do, positive approach at all timesA self-starter, able to use initiative to work alone and as part of a teamTime management skills and commitment to deliver to agreed timescalesKey relationships that a placement would work in collaboration withAgriculture Supply Chain ManagerDirector of Agricultural StrategyCommercial Account ManagersLivestock and Procurement teamsFarming and Technical teamsAdditional Information:Ability to travel and engage with customers and suppliersFlexible working the agri placement will work from multiple sites and locations, every day provides a different opportunityA great opportunity for networking and exposure to the wider industry through work with our third party farmers and suppliersGenuine accountability for business critical tasks and responsibilities
