You will be supporting a 56-bed, three-floor homeless hostel in Plymouth. This service plays a vital role in safeguarding some of the most vulnerable adults in our society. The individuals you will support may be experiencing mental health challenges, substance misuse, homelessness, or may be survivors of domestic abuse and otherplex circumstances.
Your new role
Shift Pattern:
1. Monday to Thursday: 21:45 – 07:45
2. Friday: 21:45 – 08:00
3. Saturday & Sunday: 19:45 – 08:00
4. 4 nights on, 4 nights off
5. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents through regular, timed welfare checks
6. De-escalating challenging behaviours and situations
7. Administering emergency medication when required
8. Maintaining clear and accurate records and handovers
9. Following all policies and procedures, with full training provided by the site manager
10. Delivering first aid if needed
11. Carrying out light domestic tasks inmunal areas
What you'll need to succeed
12. A reliable and responsible approach to night work
13. The ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure
14. A positive, can-do attitude
15. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – transferable experience will be considered.
16. Experience in a highly challenging environment or security
