Building ManagerUp to £72,000City of London Overview:We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to take full operational responsibility for a high-quality commercial building in a prime central London location. The successful candidate will ensure the building is managed to the highest standards of safety, service, and presentation, while delivering an exceptional experience for occupiers and visitors.This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and service partners effectively.What We Offer:Competitive salary up to £72,000Opportunity to manage a prestigious commercial buildingSupportive and professional working environmentLong-term career development opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the buildingEnsure the property is operated in compliance with all statutory, health & safety, and environmental requirementsOversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to occupiersMaintain high standards of presentation across all common areasAct as the Responsible Person for the buildingManage fire safety systems, risk assessments, and emergency proceduresEnsure all compliance documentation is up to date and auditableLead incident management and reporting where requiredAppoint, manage, and review performance of all service contractors (M&E, cleaning, security, landscaping, etc.)Manage service contracts, KPIs, and SLAsControl budgets and approve invoices in line with agreed financial controlsBuild strong relationships with occupiers and their representativesAct as the primary point of contact for building-related mattersCoordinate occupier communications, including planned works and building updatesSupport tenant fit-outs and moves in line with building proceduresAssist with preparation and management of service charge budgetsMonitor expenditure and identify cost efficiencies where possiblePrepare regular management reports for clients and stakeholdersSupport sustainability initiatives and environmental targetsIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and occupier experienceKeep up to date with industry best practice and legislative changesSkills & Experience Required:Proven experience as a Building Manager or Senior Facilities Manager within a commercial office environmentStrong knowledge of building services, health & safety, and statutory complianceExperience managing service charge budgets and contractorsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHighly organised with the ability to prioritise and problem-solveIOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent health & safety qualification
