About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Manager to join the Guinness Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week 15-month fixed term maternity cover vacancy based in our Oldham, Bower House office.We are currently working to a hybrid working style.
The overall purpose of the role is to manage an effective and efficient payables function ensuring services are delivered to a high standard with strong processes and controls in place. Deliver accurate, high quality and regulatory compliant accounts payable reconciliations and reporting across Guinness.

You’ll be able to demonstrate
Essential:
* Experience and strong knowledge of accounts payable.
* Experience of managing a transactional finance team in a complex organisation.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Good attention to detail with ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
* The ability to understand business operations and identify key risks and implement robust controls to mitigate these risks.
* Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to present effectively to varying levels in an organisation.
* Proven customer service experience.
* Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Desirable:
* Experience of using Oracle Cloud.
* Experience of month end processes and financial reconciliation.
* Knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet (as appropriate).
Qualifications
Essential:
* AAT Qualified or Foundation level CIMA / CCAB Qualification.
