Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position requires providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across two locations, serving a diverse caseload from early childhood through high school. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our special education team, committed to empowering students to achieve their full communication potential.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
* Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that address students' specific communication needs and goals.
* Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings across elementary (PreK-6th) and secondary (7th-12th) levels.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff (e.g., psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists) to ensure coordinated care and student success.
* Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEP-related information.
* Participate actively in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to student placement and program development decisions.
* Adapt therapy approaches and materials to meet the diverse needs of students at different developmental stages and with various communication challenges.
* Manage a caseload efficiently across two school sites in Roseville and Warren, requiring travel between locations.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License is required.
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
* Previous school-based experience working with both elementary and secondary student populations is highly desirable.
* Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and intervention skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Must have reliable transportation for travel between school locations.
