This role is suited to those who thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about agriculture, and want to take responsibility for high-performance harvest and transport operations.

Why You’ll Love This Role

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Harvest Manager, you will be responsible for the harvesting and/or transporting of crops in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Given the seasonal and dynamic nature of farming, you will work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment influenced by weather, markets, and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

Safely and competently operate a variety of harvest machinery and trucks (HC licence preferred).

Harvest produce with precision to secure optimal yield and quality from the paddock.

Transport crops from farm to shed, ensuring produce is compacted, protected, and delivered on time.

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and end-of-day clean downs on machinery (oil changes, greasing, belt changes, refuelling, minor mechanical adjustments).

Identify and report crop issues or abnormalities (soil, yield, weed, environmental factors) to ensure efficiency and quality outcomes.

Utilise technology and equipment (e.g. GPS, CB radios) to support harvest operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance, logs, and delivery schedules.

Assist in machine loading/unloading and, where required, manually handle crops to minimise damage.

Transport harvest equipment between farms when required.

Communicate clearly with harvest, packing, and logistics teams to ensure daily targets and KPIs are achieved.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience operating harvest or agricultural machinery (corn, beans, carrots, onions) is highly regarded, however on the job training will be provided.

Valid heavy vehicle licence (minimum HR) preferred, with strong knowledge of truck regulations.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machinery upkeep.

Good problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic, weather-driven environments.

Strong safety awareness and ability to follow operational standards.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good verbal and written communication.

Passion for agriculture and a strong work ethic.

What’s In It For You

Full-time, permanent role with competitive salary.

Opportunity to develop advanced harvesting and transport skills.

Work in some of Queensland’s most beautiful agricultural regions.

Be part of a company that invests in its people and is shaping the future of sustainable farming.

This is more than just a driving job – it’s your ticket to a rewarding agricultural career.
