We have a permanent Assistant Cook vacancy at Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy, working 25 hours per week Monday to Friday on a 38 week term time contract.
If you have a Catering qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent this post could be for you.
Duties within this school include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food.
Duties may include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.
Completion of basic bookwork may be required including electronic returns.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff are provided with meals throughout the school day during term time - covering breakfast, morning break and lunch.
The Person
Do you have Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?
Prior to starting in post, you will be required to attend an Induction Training Day.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
