Corr recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Miller with Hurco machine experience, candidate who works confidently and independently. Using conventional machines for client in Biggleswade
Hours : 40-hour week Mon – Thur 7:00 till 4:00 Friday 7:00 till 1:00 -Overtime available.
Payment rate : £18.50 per hour
You should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina, and a keen interest in production and processing.
To be successful as a machinist you should be creative, perceptive, meticulous, and an active learner. The candidate should possess exceptional critical thinking, time management, and communication skills, an ability to manage complex machines and tools. .
Responsibilities:
1. Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately.
2. Getting information from all relevant sources. Controlling machines and processes. Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products. Analysing information and finding the best solutions to problems. Always maintain clear and honest communication.
3. Keeping the work environment safe. Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work. Manual Machinist Requirements:
4. At least 3-4 years’ experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
5. Recognised apprenticeship or City & Guilds training preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills. Understanding of mathematics.
6. Understanding CAD drawings, symbols, & tolerances. Ethical behaviour. Attention to detail and self-motivation.
