As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Investment & Corporate Banking Technology team, you play a crucial role in an agile team that is dedicated to improving, creating, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a fundamental technical contributor, your responsibilities include implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains within various business functions to support the firm's business goals. You will become part of a high-performing global team of engineers developing an industry-leading Customer Relationship Management system with over 5000 JPMorgan Chase users.
Job responsibilities
8. Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
9. Develops secure high-quality production code in Java, and reviews and debugs code written by others
10. Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
11. Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
12. Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
13. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
14. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
15. Advanced in Java engineering, with Spring Boot, Oracle, SQL and developing RestAPIs
16. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
17. Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
18. Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
19. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/ CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
20. Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
21. In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
22. Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
23. Experience with any of;
24. Elastic Search
25. Kafka
26. React front end engineering
27. Testing frameworks, Cypress and Cucumber
28. Infrastructure, DevOps or SRE
