Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Grimsby to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from April until July 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and ensuring pupils continue to thrive during this important stage of their education.
The Role:
* Full-time Year 2 class teacher
* Maternity cover from April to July 2026
* Full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking
* Delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
* Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress
* Working collaboratively with the wider school team and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
* Be confident with assessment frameworks relevant to Year 2
* Be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards
