Hayward Hawk are delighted to be recruiting for a detailed Accounts Administrator to join our clients finance team. Youll play a key role in supporting the finance function by handling both purchase and sales ledger tasks with accuracy and efficiency. This will involve maintaining up-to-date records, processing payments and reconciliations within set deadlines, and inputting financial data into the companys accounting system. Youll also prepare regular reports and updates for the Management Accountant and Team Leader. What You'll Do: Provide accurate purchase and sales ledger administrative support to the finance team Process reconciliations and payments in a timely manner using a computerised system Compile and report financial figures to the Management Accountant and Team Leader Ensure reconciliations for company distribution centres are completed promptly, investigating discrepancies where necessary Process supplier payments and maintain general accounts filing Carry out ad hoc duties within the accounts department, including providing cover for reception when required Work closely with the Management Accountant to meet departmental deadlines What Youll Need: Previous experience working in a busy accounts office environment Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel Experience using accounting system packages (Sage 50 and/or Sage 200 desirable) Bookkeeping experience Excellent organisational and communication skills High level of accuracy and strong analytical ability Competence with IT systems and data entry A positive, problem-solving approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team An accounts qualification (or currently working towards one) would be desirable What Youll Get: Competitive salary Early finish Fridays Free car parking Chance to develop your skills and work towards professional qualifications A collaborative team environment with variety in day-to-day tasks
