Crisis Recovery Worker – Blackpool Haven (Fixed Term)
Location: 259 Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, FY3 9JL
Working Hours: 37 hours per week. We are recruiting for a full time member of staff to cover the Blackpool wellbeing centre between the hours of 10:00-22:00, you will need a degree of flexibility where shift work is required on a rota basis including evening and weekends.
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/07/2026
Salary: £24,243 - £28,930 per annum

About the Role
Do you have an understanding of mental health issues or experience of working in mental health? Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Crisis Recovery Worker.
Your challenge? To manage the service’s resources and monitor, develop and share good practice across staff teams to ensure everyone is better equipped to work with a greater range of challenging support needs. We’ll also rely on you to provide high quality support to clients, build positive relationships with multi-disciplinary organisations and make sure that data entry onto our reporting system is accurate and timely.
What You’ll Do
You will be solution focused and outcome driven, you’re great at leading, supervising and motivating others using tact and diplomacy and a firm but inclusive, open style of working. You also have a flair for managing conflicting demands and priorities and a flexible attitude to working hours. A proven track record in a mental health care setting is, of course key, as is a good understanding of recovery and co-production and experience of carrying out investigations and writing reports and recommendations. You will need to be a great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload. You will enjoy motivating and engaging people in a range of developmental interventions and activities. What’s more, you will have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people and their loved ones.
Duties will include:
1. Liaising with clinical teams to discuss referrals and clinical presentation of service users, leading on risk management and safety planning for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and introducing therapeutic tools and interventions to services users tailored to their particular needs.
2. Entering accurate case notes onto our IT system.
3. Regularly liaising with GP surgeries, the local council, charities etc. or promoting the service within the community.
