Salary: £24,000 - 32,000 per year Requirements: Some experience in an IT support, service desk, or customer-facing technical role (desirable but not essential) Basic understanding of IT systems, software applications, and troubleshooting principles Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts (LAN, WAN, WLAN) Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills Entry-level IT or networking certifications (e.g. CompTIA ITF, CompTIA A, or working towards CCNA) (desirable) Experience using ticketing systems or helpdesk tools (desirable) Basic awareness of VPNs and remote support tools (desirable) Interest or exposure to security systems, access control software, or network video systems (VMS) (desirable) Responsibilities: Provide 1st line technical support within a multi-disciplinary support centre. Act as the initial point of contact for IT incidents and service requests. Log, triage, and resolve common IT issues, escalating more complex problems to 2nd line support when required. Support users with software applications, basic networking issues, and remote access/VPN connectivity. Deliver a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service at all times. Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and actions taken.
