People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked in a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver. Shifts: Working any 5 nights out of 7 Start times between 01:00 and 03:00 Rates of Pay: £15.87 per hour Benefits: As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Conducting supermarket deliveries (handball required – modern cages with wheels) Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C licence A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding xxuwjjq of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Previous experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Driver's assessment must be completed before starting A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
