Job Description
Purpose of Position
As a Business Development Manager your primary objective will be to achieve the company’s aligned revenue target for new business in the role. You will be expected to develop a continuous pipeline of prospects in order to achieve this objective.
Key Task & Responsibilities
1. Identifying and developing a prospect funnel sufficient in size to fund new business targets as per the Company's strategic plan.
2. Monitoring performance of new customers to ensure they trade to an agreed profile. Agree and deliver action plans if variances occur.
3. Aim to successfully handover all new accounts within a 13 week period to the relevant Account Manager
4. Demonstrate commercial awareness through the need to maximise contribution and revenue generating streams such as surcharges on accounts
5. To adhere to the relevant onboarding and implementation processes for new customers to ensure a smooth transition to DPD
6. Achieving all portfolio product targets and embrace all new products as and when launched by the company
7. Obtaining all the correct documentation and information required for all accounts particularly those where special category onboarding is needed
8. To strive for the + qualification criteria each year
9. Updating and managing a SalesForce database ensuring compliance at all times
10. Ad hoc reporting or project requirements as set by General Manager - Business Development.
