Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing for a varied client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across multiple pay cycles
- Act as a key contact for payroll-related queries, maintaining strong client relationships and resolving issues efficiently
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members while contributing to process improvements and internal quality controls
- Assist with payroll set-up, reconciliations, pension administration, and maintaining compliance with current payroll legislation and data protection standards
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a payroll environment, ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
- Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Knowledge of payroll compliance requirements including pensions, HMRC processes, and statutory regulations would be advantageous
