Customer Services Manager @ Chronologic Ltd - Helping businesses optimise their workforce with Time and Attendance / Workforce Management Software
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to create business growth by overseeing and creating strategic and operational development of the direct sales team and contributing to indirect and channel sales activities.
This is a new position with a broad remit, and there will be scope for the job holder to contribute to the development of systems and processes across the business. Where required, training can be given to expand the skill set of the job holder.
Team sizes are small meaning this role is a combination of both strategic and hands-on elements, requiring the role holder to do as well as manage.
Overall responsibilities

Background
Chronologic is a stand-alone company, wholly owned by an American tech group, selling Time & Attendance and Workforce Management systems to a range of B2B customers. It is a fast-growing, data-driven, complicated business, which uses a range of enterprise grade systems, websites and portals as key resources to generate new business and retain customers.
The business has grown from a combination of generating inbound leads and direct sales. Direct sales need to grow, and new opportunities in emerging indirect integrated and partner channels need to be established.

Key Responsibilities
Contributing to the planning, creating and executing of the sales forecast and strategy,
Improving processes to achieve the growth and financial goals for the business, responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining a sales plan and targets
* Creating and maintaining relationships with strategic sales customers and partners
* Contributing to indirect sales promoting on-selling of Chronologic services / systems to their end clients
* Developing new business within direct and indirect channels
* Maximising cross selling and upselling opportunities
* Preparing reports and presentations to track the sales performance
* Managing and developing the Sales team
Requirements
Demonstrable success in a tech-based, B2B, SME business
Experienced HubSpot user (preferred)
Either relevant qualifications, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience, in a Tech sector.
Core Skill Requirements
Sales and Business Development experience
Demonstrable abilities required for achieving sales and business development goals, such as extensive product knowledge, crafting effective sales pitches, business acumen, strategic prospecting, relationship building and negotiation. Having strong sales and business development skills to aid market requirements analysis, identification of new opportunities and improvements to existing sales goals.
Communication and Interpersonal skills
The role holder needs to communicate with their teams, customers and other business stakeholders regularly. They will need to write reports and pitch new business. The ability to build consensus within a team and convince others of new ideas is essential. This requires strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to empathise, listen carefully, and communicate their ideas and expectations in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and non-verbally.
This position needs to perform a wide variety of roles, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams, executive board, partners and customers. This requires ability to prioritise tasks, perform multiple roles simultaneously, and manage time effectively. Proper planning and organisation are important to prevent confusion, overcome procrastination and meet deadlines.
Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
Analysing problems and using logic and experience to solve them enables important tasks like analysing market trends and opportunities, responding to competitors' strategies, prioritising resource allocation to be addressed effectively. Working in a fast-paced, challenging environment requires quick decisions and timely actions.
Leadership and Team Management
Guiding, motivating, training and developing, and encouraging teams and working with people with different personalities to achieve the financial goals of an organisation, and to maintain the existing positive relationships and the company culture.
Tech Savvy
* Demonstrable ability to gain strong technical understanding, enabling the portfolio of solutions and integrated tools to be analysed against the competition, positioned appropriately in the market and communicated / sold effectivity to partners and prospects.
