Thispany are currently looking to recruit a Management Accounting Senior for their Belfast office. They are regarded as one of the most progressive and entrepreneurial professional services firms in the UK today, employing nearly 3,500 people in over 35 offices across the UK. The Management Accounting senior is a key role within the management accounting team in Belfast, responsible for delivery of high-quality outputs to our clients, assisting in the training and coaching of junior management accounting team members.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
1. Operational management accounting.
2. Preparing management accounting information for final review, ensuring all work is accurate, timely, easy to follow and informative.

4. Consistently learning from review points in prior months, works to proactively incorporate previous review points into next month’s output.
5. Working within budgeted timeframes to deliver, and highlights difficulties quickly to the Management Accounting Lead. Consistently aiming to improve on budget.
6. Applying technical accounting knowledge to work, highlighting concern early and consulting with others for solutions.
7. Assisting in ensuring effective controls are in place to maintainpliance with Tax and Accounting policies and procedures.
8. Assisting in the development of ‘standard’ output working files that result in consistency across clients and be the ‘gold standard’ for Outsourcing.
9. Developing your own skills, knowledge and experience of management accounting and clients.
10. Prioritising your workload effectively in order to meet month end deadlines. Identifying opportunities to front load work where possible and reduce the effort at month end.
11. Using effectivemunication methods, both written and verbal to ensure all stakeholders are kept fully informed of progress on service delivery, raising risks and issues on a timely basis.
12. Building a strong reputation for delivering a quality, timely product recognising that this is a key ingredient of future success with our internal clients.
13. Building strong stakeholder relationships and being regarded as a ‘trusted advisor’.
What you’ll need to succeed
14. Qualified accountant with 1+ years post qualification experience.
15. Practice/audit background preferred.
16. ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, Sage etc).
17. Outstanding written and verbalmunication skills.
18. Strong client service skills.
19. Is resilient and can work calmly and effectively under pressure.
20. Outstanding attention to detail and takes accountability for their own work.
21. Can manage teams of junior staff to deliver on engagements.
22. Strong team player.
23. Experienced in relationship building, adapting their style to the situation, being flexible in understanding the needs of the client and how to deliver an outstanding client experience.
24. Ability to recognise client issues quickly, and proactively respond with a resolution.
25. Hasmercial acumen, understands the importance of budgets and corresponding fees, works in a way that helps ensure profitability targets are met.
