LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - SEND

They are now looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants / SEN Teaching Assistants to join their established and successful team, with an immediate start available. Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH pupils is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of the class teacher or form tutor
* Helping pupils to access learning while supporting positive behaviour
* Promoting safeguarding, welfare and the wellbeing of all pupils
* Supervising and supporting pupils to ensure their safety and engagement in learning activities
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and acting as a strong role model
* Encouraging inclusion and helping pupils feel valued and accepted in the classroom
* Responding to individual needs with consistency, patience and understanding
* Using positive reinforcement and celebrating progress and achievements
* Being directly involved in behaviour management processes, including Team Teach and the supervised withdrawal of pupils when required, to ensure the safety of both pupils and staff
