Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires effective communication skills in English and a passion for early childhood education, as you will be working closely with children aged 0-5 years.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
* Support the lead nursery staff in managing daily routines and ensuring that all children are engaged and cared for.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere within the nursery.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
* Observe and report on children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to senior staff members.
* Drive initiatives that encourage children's creativity through play-based learning activities.
* Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all children.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership skills to effectively manage small groups of children during activities.
* Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both children and adults.
* A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.
