* Provide targeted support, both 1:1 and in small groups, in core subjects such as reading, writing, and maths, to help pupils secure key skills and make sustained progress.
* Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development; build trusting relationships, provide reassurance, and foster independence for Year 3 pupils.
* Support the development of resilience, positive learning behaviours, and social skills to enhance the broader school experience.
* Collaborate with the class teacher to provide feedback on pupils' progress, behaviour, and engagement, informing planning and intervention needs.
* Communicate professionally with parents when appropriate.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Patience, adaptability, and confidence in supporting a wide range of learning needs.
* Good understanding of the Year 3 and wider KS2 curriculum; ability to adapt tasks, scaffold learning, and use strategies that meet individual needs.
* Experience supporting phonics, early writing development, and foundational maths skills is beneficial.
* A willingness to learn and follow school policies, routines, and behaviour approaches is essential.
* Experience as an LSA or relevant education/childcare/youth support background is desirable; Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
