Are you currently working as an M&E Project Manager from a Mechanical or Electrical background, looking to work on high profile projects within the regulated sector space (Defence, Rail, Nuclear).
Do you have a proven track record delivering multi-disciplinary projects within Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or pipework?
We are currently working with a leading engineering and construction business, established over 70 years and responsible for the delivery of some of the UKs most iconic projects. Due to a very strong pipeline of work and current live projects, they currently have a requirement for an MEP Project Manager to join their project delivery team.
You will be based out of their London office, but this position will require regular travel to projects.
Role Responsibilities
* As a Senior MEP Project Manager, you will be an accountable leader delivering complex, safety critical projects. This could be managing one large project or multiple smaller ones.
* Lead multi-discipline teams across engineering, commercial, manufacturing and site operations.
* Represent the company confidently in a client facing position.
* Uphold the highest possible standards when it comes to quality and safety, acting with integrity and the best interests of your team and the company.
* A strong leader is essential, capable of working under pressure, building confidence, mentoring junior staff and leading from the front.
* Champion a safety first culture, ensuring all statutory and company requirements are met.
* Administer NEC and other forms of contracts.
* Lead early warnings, compensation events and change management.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Experience And Qualifications
* You will currently be working as a client facing M&E project manager, with experience in Mechanical, electrical, HVAC or pipework.
* Experience leading engineering/design, site operations, sub contractor coordination.
* A sound understanding of NEC form of contract with strong commercial acumen.
* An understanding of offsite manufacturing, offsite assembly would be beneficial.
* Competence/understanding of digital tools P6/MS Project, sharepoint would be desirable
* Excellent communication skills in a client facing position.
* Lead by example, someone who is prepared to back their team and deliver work to a high standard.
* This role does require regular travel to site so you must have a full UK driving licence
