UHNM has a requirement for a Network Engineer to join our newly established Network Services Team. The role will support Senior Network Engineers in delivering internal Network services. The aim is to provide technical Network support for systems and services used by UHNM and its partners, resolving incidents from 1st line support to maintain 'business as usual'. Involvement in project implementation may also be required.
Network Engineers work as part of the team supporting Principal Network and Telephony Engineers and Senior Network Engineers in delivering Data network services across the Trust, ensuring a reliable 24/7 service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide specialist support in the operational management, implementation, and maintenance of data communication networks and projects, ensuring continuous service for end users. This includes managing and supervising third-party service providers and contractors, as well as supporting other Network Engineers.
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs) within the Directorate.
3. Implement Data policies and procedures, proposing changes when necessary, which may impact other functions and departments.
4. Participate in performance reviews and appraisals, setting work objectives, targets, and KPIs, and contribute to end-of-year performance evaluations.
