Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker (Ad Hoc / Bank) Location: Perth and surrounding areas Salary: £15.50p/h - £19p/h (PAYE) Contract: Flexible / Bank Hours: Variable shift work and block bookings available About the Role: 21 Health and Social Care is actively recruiting experienced and compassionate Residential Childcare Workers on an ad hoc / bank basis to support a variety of clients across Residential Childcare. Our clients include a wide range of residential childcare providers supporting young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, and learning disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in residential settings Support with day-to-day routines including personal care, education, activities, and emotional support Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment Work collaboratively with permanent staff and external professionals Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans and organisational policies Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and healthy relationships What Were Looking For: Experience working in a residential childcare or similar care setting is essential Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) & HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable SSSC registration (or willingness to register) required PVG Scheme membership required (or willingness to join) What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay (PAYE no umbrella companies) Flexibility to choose shifts that suit your schedule Opportunities for longer-term block bookings with consistent clients Ongoing support from our friendly, experienced team Potential to work across multiple services, gaining varied experience Ready to Apply?
