Milbank Concrete Products, a leader in the precast concrete industry, is seeking a Precast Steel Fixer to join our production team. This hands-on role is integral to our manufacturing process, ensuring reinforcement steel is accurately prepared for casting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cut, bend, tie, and weld reinforcement steel to required specifications.
* Assemble steel cages by tying or welding pre-formed steelwork.
* Follow detailed CAD drawings and bending schedules to ensure accuracy.
* Demonstrate a proactive approach to health and safety.
* Comply with all Milbank Concrete Products (MCP) policies.
* Double-check all work before casting to prevent errors.
* Complete equipment husbandry checks on the shopfloor.
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate with team leaders to ensure timely orders.
* Actively participate in 5S (6S) and other projects aimed at continuous improvement and sustainability.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace ("clean as you go" culture).
* Contribute to layout improvements to enhance efficiency.
What We're Looking For

* Experience in steel fixing is essential; industry qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
