Job Title: Childrens Support Worker : Secure Unit

Salary: 18.00 : 19.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting experienced and resilient Childrens Support Workers to join a secure unit in Peterborough. This is a highly rewarding role supporting vulnerable children and young people with complex needs in a structured and secure environment. You will play a key role in promoting safety, stability, and positive behavioural outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high:quality care and supervision within a secure setting Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs Safely manage challenging behaviours in line with training and policies Build professional, trusting relationships with young people Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plans Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months UK experience working with children or young people Valid restraint training (e.g. MAPA, CPI, or equivalent) : essential Strong communication and de:escalation skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations Flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Desirable (but not essential):
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or Childcare
