SEN Teaching Assistant – Supporting Pupils with Additional Needs. Location: Coalville, Leicestershire. Pay: £89 - £110 per day (depending on experience). Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Temp (flexible options available).
Are you a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are a SEND-specialist education recruitment agency, working closely with schools and specialist settings to provide reliable, skilled, and caring support staff for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Responsibilities
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them access education in a way that meets their individual needs.
* Assist pupils with a range of needs, including:
* Autism (ASD)
* ADHD
* SEMH
* Learning difficulties
* Complex or challenging behaviours
* Speech & Language needs
* Physical or sensory needs
* Roles are available across mainstream schools, special schools, and alternative provisions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 6 months experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or support settings).
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Confidence supporting emotional regulation and behaviour.
* Genuine passion for inclusive education.
* Relevant qualifications or training (such as Teaching Assistant qualifications, SEN training, or care experience) are desirable but not essential for the right person.
