Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at our Distance Selling Pharmacy (DSP) in Birmingham. The Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day pharmaceutical operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions safely, providing expert consultations to patients, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best care. The role also involves supporting the management of the pharmacy’s workflow and providing educational advice on the appropriate use of medications. Experienced with Care home MAR Charts, preferably have experience on CareMeds and Rx Web.
Qualifications
* Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, including dispensing and regulatory compliance
* Strong communication and consultation skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare providers
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and ensure medication safety
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
* Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and digital tools
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK
* Prior experience in a community or distance-selling pharmacy is beneficial
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with pharmaceutical advancements
