The Opportunity:
Imago Techmedia & IRP - Clarion Event's business technology portfolio - creates market leading events covering digital transformation, enterprise tech, cyber security, customer experience and digital commerce.
We are seeking a creative, resilient, and ambitious Conference Producer to take a crucial role within this dynamic portfolio, working across 3 events per year:
* Digital Transformation Expo (DTX) + Unified Communications Expo (UCX) - April (Manchester) and London (October)
* Internet Retailing Expo (IRX) - Birmingham, May 2025
From the start, the candidate will immerse themselves in the business and tech communities taking the lead to produce content programmes across 5 stages at our flagship event, DTX + UCX London 2025.
Longer term, the candidate will build upon their knowledge and network to contribute to the creation and delivery of new and evolving products and services. This is a significant research and customer-led role perfect for someone who is interested and passionate about the intersection between technology, people and business.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Development:
* Conduct year-round research with the buyside community (i.e. decision makers from enterprise and public sector organisations) to identify their key challenges, buying requirements plus industry trends.
* Conduct year-round research with other industry stakeholders (i.e. consultants/analysts and technology vendors) to gain broader perspectives and validate feedback
* Write event programmes that cover key topics and trends and meet the needs and interests of our buyside community, whilst also being commercially viable
* Identify, invite and secure speakers and moderators to deliver your events with a focus on quality of brand, diversity and out-of-the-box thinking
* Bring an entrepreneurial mindset through generating new topic ideas and/or reconceptualising existing propositions based on own research
Industry engagement and knowledge:
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (i.e. speakers, sponsors, and partners), on and off project basis) to keep abreast of the industry's strategic objectives in a dynamically evolving environment
* Attend industry social and networking events (often in the evenings)
* Build industry profile and promote events through media exposure (articles, features and interviews)
Supporting sponsorship success:
* Support the sponsorship team by providing a brief on your agendas
* Communicate regularly the event's USPs including tailored areas for sponsors to take part
* Identify new sponsor prospects based off own research
* Join calls with sponsorship teams to discuss paid speaking opportunities.
Supporting marketing success:
* Support marketing teams by contributing copy for emails, websites and onsite based on research to help communicate the events' benefits accordingly
* Identify new partnership opportunities (i.e. media and association partners) to tap into broader community networks.
Project Management:
* Onsite running of your allocated event programmes which includes liaising with sponsors, speakers and attendees plus support teams
* Providing post event feedback and analysis
* Writing wrap-up/takeaway reports for promotion.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills specifically by telephone and face to face
* Confident in speaking to senior-level executives and more technical roles (i.e. IT Managers, Software Engineers, and CIOs/CTOs)
* Ability to influence senior-level decision makers to buy into our vision by articulating both our mission and ideas clearly and persuasively
* Ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong project management and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent writing proficiency, attention to detail, presentation skills, and creativity in message delivery
* Customer centricity: a drive to continually improve the value and experience delivered to all key stakeholders via our events
* Independence and reliability: the ability to work with minimal supervision and make good business decisions based on sound research and analysis
* Commercially aware with a firm grasp of what creates a financially successful event product
* Ability to take a proactive, constructive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
