Overview
Main responsibilities are currently as follows:
* Understand and align with the asset and project plan objectives and CMS requirements, particularly those related to FPSO disconnection.
* Develop, revise, and optimize integrated schedules, coding structures, and planning procedures to support the safe and efficient disconnection of FPSO systems including subsea infrastructure decontamination.
* Ensure timely and accurate input from all relevant disciplines (engineering, marine operations, logistics) is incorporated into the planning process.
* Monitor progress against the plan, track critical path activities, and provide accurate forecasting to support operational readiness.
* Conduct risk assessments and analyse potential deficiencies, changes, and opportunities; escalate issues and advise on mitigation strategies to ensure safe and compliant execution.
* Facilitate effective communication and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve planning and operational challenges.
* Provide timely updates to the Asset on significant deviations from the plan and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensure optimal and timely re-planning in response to evolving project conditions or operational constraints.
* Deliver complete and timely reporting to internal and external parties, including progress updates, risk registers, and compliance documentation.
* Maintain the planning database and scheduling tools to ensure they remain accurate, current, and fit-for-purpose throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support project close-out activities, including documentation of lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement in future operations.
* Integrate third-party schedules into the overall project plan to ensure alignment and avoid operational conflicts.
* Capture and apply lessons learned from previous disconnection operations to enhance planning practices and contribute to procedural improvements.
Requirements
* A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Project Management is desirable; however candidates with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
* Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling complex offshore operations, including FPSO disconnection, relocation and decommissioning activities.
* Solid understanding of subsea systems, marine logistics, vessel coordination, and regulatory and safety compliance within offshore environments.
* Professional certifications such as Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), offshore safety training (e.g., BOSIET), or FPSO-specific qualifications are highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
* Flexibility to travel offshore and occasionally to our office in the Netherlands.
* Experience with Primavera planning Software
