JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that printed labels are produced to the correct quality on time with the least amount of wastage. RESPONSIBILITIES: \u2022 Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures; \u2022 Ensure machinery runs at maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety; \u2022 Adopt a "pitstop" mentality to reduce change over times, fully utilize and organise press assistants and co-operate with staggered break times to increase run time against downtime; \u2022 Proactively manage presses to achieve the best quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date and ensures traceability; \u2022 Ensure maximum material utilization and a reduction of wastage of all materials including inks; \u2022 Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly; \u2022 Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, ISO9001, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems; \u2022 Detail all press specifications and technical details which are required to produce jobs \u2022 Co-operate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment; \u2022 Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.
