Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology Department at Peterborough City Hospital. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our very busy and dedicated admin team.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Senior Medical Secretary and clinical team within the Department and also ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and professional service for our patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to perform a high level of secretarial and administration tasks within the service. You will need to be able to work efficiently, with a high degree of accuracy and work flexibly and confidentially across the Trust independently and as part of a team liaising with colleagues at all levels.
You will have good communication skills and will be responsive to the needs of the service. You will be a point of contact for patients, speciality teams and other departments for all enquiries relating to patients. You will be responsible for the tracking and management of patient pathways in accordance with the National targets.

9. Educated to GCSE level standard English Language at Grade A - C (or equivalent)
10. Audio typing qualification or recent relevant experience
11. RSA II typing or equivalent experience

12. NVQ II or III Business Administration

13. Experience of using MS Office, particularly MS Word and Outlook
14. Previous Secretarial/Office experience
15. Experience of working with the general public and/or professionals
