Position Purpose
The Controls Integrator is responsible for integrating multiple project elements into a cohesive system. They play a key technical role throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth factory and site acceptance testing. Integration is crucial before system handover to ensure high-quality delivery. The role bridges technology and art, helping create the world's best shows and spectacles.
Responsibilities
1. Test, configure, and prepare equipment for site use.
2. Assist with controls system commissioning.
3. Lead controls/electrical maintenance and site works as needed.
4. Inspect client sites, identify and resolve controls/electrical issues within budget and standards.
5. Perform safe installation of lifting systems.
6. Prepare technical and inspection documentation, ensuring all records are current.
7. Travel at short notice, possibly internationally, to support clients and projects.
8. Assist with specifying and planning works, including basic electrical design.
9. Engage in controls system commissioning, diagnosis, and issue resolution.
10. Contribute to knowledge sharing through manuals and learning materials.
11. Coordinate project handovers and integration of components.
12. Communicate regularly with project teams about tasks and risks.
13. Implement technology on site as part of field engineering and installation teams.
14. Perform shop testing and setup for complex elements.
15. Maintain understanding of all related technical fields and develop expertise.
16. Promote internal standards and processes.
17. Participate in the global integration team, supporting company operations and business development.
18. Strive for operational improvements and excellent customer service.
19. Build and maintain relationships with clients, stagehands, electricians, and project managers.
20. Follow health, safety, and company policies.
Knowledge Required
* Experience with complex entertainment automation machinery.
* Understanding of entertainment/industrial automation technology and equipment.
* Knowledge of PLC programming and control theory.
* Experience with entertainment rigging and components.
* Ability to diagnose equipment failures.
* Understanding mechanical systems.
* Formal technical background.
