About the Business
This FTSE UK listed business is a leading global provider of automotive test and verification solutions that facilitate the development of safer, more efficient and sustainable vehicles. Robust and rapidly growing, it is now seeking to appoint a Group Quality & Business Improvement Manager to drive its product sector’s continuous improvement program across multiple regions.
The Role
Based on-site in Wiltshire, this newly created role is central to ensuring that all Group companies in the products sector meet consistent standards of quality, safety, and efficacy. You will be tasked with overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems and process improvements. It will draw on your strong understanding of mechanical/ electrical/electronics engineering operations environments. It will also require you to take both a hands-on approach as you bring people on the continuous improvement journey, as well as a strategic mindset. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of quality assurance pertaining to engineering, design, assembly, software and support. This critical role will see you set and enforce quality standards and protocols that align with industry regulations, customer expectations and best practice to ensure continuous improvement and the promotion of a high-performance culture.
What You Bring
* A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally in electrical/electronics or mechanical.
* Lean Six Sigma experience is mandatory, ideally with relevant certification.
* Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) from a recognised professional body are advantageous.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in a quality control or assurance leadership role within the manufacturing and/or engineering assembly industry.
* Strong knowledge of regulations, standards, and quality control methodologies.
* Influential and inclusive leadership skills with a proven track record of creating momentum and delivering exceptional results within the company’s values of teamwork, respect, integrity and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrable project management skills with a passion for advancing quality, process improvement by winning through your team.
* Ideally international experience in a quality or continuous improvement role with a willingness to travel.
