What you'll do
1. To be part of the Assure team in the VBSE NOC, managing multiple networks, providing 24 x 7 x365 operational support to VBSE customers.
2. To provide expert technical services, focusing on IP elements within the VBSE network, but also being able to provide support on a broad range of network elements as required, ensuring that customer SLA targets for incident resolution are met or exceeded.
3. Undertake Assure team maintenance and fault work in accordance with customer service level agreements.
4. Undertake remote provide/ commissioning work on IP and other equipment deployed on customer and network sites to current specifications.
5. Deal effectively /efficiently with queries from customers.
6. Perform regular audits on the networks and systems.
7. Provide technical support to others in the department and to customers. Make recommendations to VBSE management on complex technical matters.
Who you are
• Be able to maintain Customer confidentiality and ability to hold Developed Vetting level security clearance.
• In depth knowledge of IP equipment and networks, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia etc, in a telecoms provider environment.
• Understanding of Tx equipment (Ciena).
• A clear and analytical approach to problem management.
• Understanding of ITIL working practices
