Responsibilities and Duties
* Act as an Operational Buyer in the Procurement Hub using the Oracle Financial System, raising requisitions and converting them to purchase orders in line with the University’s procure‑to‑pay process.
* Ensure requisitions and orders comply with the University’s Financial Regulations, Procedures and Purchasing Policy; issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
* Perform system housekeeping: review and process current year requisitions and purchase orders, chase items over three months old with an open status, and true up/close outstanding items.
* Liaise with colleagues across the University to provide general advice on Oracle, ensuring orders are issued, received and paid, and that each stage of the process is actioned and recorded.
* Work collaboratively within the team, remain organised, accurate, numerate and maintain familiar use of Oracle Financials.
* Possess a good working knowledge and experience of the MS Office suite, including sound ability with Excel and Access.
Qualifications
* Experience using the Oracle Financial System for procure‑to‑pay processes.
* Knowledge of the University’s financial regulations, procedures, and purchasing policy.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time‑sensitive purchase order issuance.
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
