About the role
We are recruiting an NPD Technologist to collaborate with the R&D and operations teams to drive project development efficiently. The role involves building relationships across departments, ensuring customer satisfaction, and aligning with Kerry's purpose, vision, and values. The successful candidate will focus on standardizing processes for new product launches, process improvements, and profit projects that delight customers and benefit the business. Cross-functional work is essential to ensure developed concepts and recipes align with business strategy, with attention to upgrading existing products considering operational efficiencies and PIP initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Interpret project briefs, coordinate gate zero meetings for site approval, and create feasibility studies using systems like Salesforce.
* Develop and communicate master schedules with stakeholders.
* Oversee product and packaging development and validation, including trials from benchtop to scale-up.
* Ensure documentation of trials, including nutritional info, shelf life, and micro/organoleptic data, following site processes.
* Handle costings in collaboration with procurement and finance, and communicate for approval.
* Maintain trial records digitally and physically, capturing outcomes accurately.
* Manage artwork approvals for private label and branded products.
* Present new concepts for approval, ensuring cost accuracy and capability alignment, and conduct post-launch quality reviews.
* Prepare product samples for various activities, ensuring high standards in NPD work areas.
* Coordinate commercialization with quality, technical, regulatory, and packaging teams, supporting quality transfer during trials and post-launch.
* Handover technical documentation to relevant departments for customer specifications and artwork approval.
* Support brand and customer initiatives through project delivery.
* Assist in preparing high-quality presentations with the R&D team.
* Stay informed on market, consumer, and competitor trends, applying insights during development and aligning with Kerry’s strategic plans, including packaging sustainability and sourcing trials.
Qualifications and skills
* Experience in NPD
* Strong communication skills
* Degree in food-related subjects
* Organizational skills
* Proficiency in SAP, Optiva, and MS Office
