Paediatric Occupational Therapist for Education - Early Years
Salary: Grade 7 - £32,654 to £36,124 per annum pro rata (equivalent to Band 5 Health)
Start date: 01/09/25 | Fixed term - grant funded until 31st March 2026
Hours: 14.48 hours per week over 2 days (7.24 per day) - Term time only
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Occupational Therapist to join the Education Occupational Therapy Team within the Support for Learning Service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about supporting learners in the Early Years.
The successful candidate will collaborate with team colleagues to help learners achieve optimal outcomes and deliver specialist occupational therapy advice, support, and training within a multi-disciplinary setting.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting children within preschool and nursery settings through specialist assessments and interventions.
2. Collaborating with the wider Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Inclusion services for assessments and support.
3. Delivering training for LA Early Years and Inclusion Service Training Menus.
4. Providing advice and strategies to preschool settings, nurseries, and families.
Essential experience includes:
1. Specialist knowledge of assessments and interventions relevant to paediatric OT.
2. Managing complex caseloads.
3. Multi-agency working experience.
4. Delivering training to professionals and external partners.
5. Experience working within education, particularly Early Years.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
