We’re excited to welcome two new Lottery Promoters to join our small, friendly and proactive Lottery Sales Team. As a Lottery Promoter, you’ll work within the local community, encouraging people to support Dougie Mac by joining our weekly lottery or purchasing lottery products. You’ll engage with the public door-to-door and at pre-booked venues such as supermarkets, shopping centres, corporate sites and community events, helping to raise essential funds for hospice care. We’re looking for individuals who can communicate effectively, approach people in a friendly and respectful way, and represent the organisation positively within the community. You will receive full training and support, including how to use a tablet and card payment device, and how to securely record donations, ensuring you feel confident in the role. Key Responsibilities Engaging with the public to recruit new long-term Lottery members Promoting lottery products including scratch cards and seasonal raffle tickets Setting up and working on our promotional stand at pre-booked venues and events Working both independently and as part of a supportive team Using a tablet and card machine confidently (full training provided) Helping maximise income that directly supports patient care We’re looking for someone who: Can engage with people in a friendly and respectful manner Can communicate effectively with members of the public and build rapport Is self-motivated and able to work towards agreed targets Can work alone or as part of a small, friendly team Is passionate for Dougie Mac and the difference we make in our community Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to travel between locations) Has previous fundraising or sales experience (desirable but not essential – full training provided) Why Join Dougie Mac?
