Our civil engineering and infrastructure client are seeking a Contracts Manager for their Water division supporting a new Southern Water framework across West Sussex and Kent on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
* Ensure projects are planned and programmed in detail for timely delivery.
* Manage procurement and reconciliation of materials according to company procedures.
* Ensure site team compliance with commercial policies and procedures.
* Attend tender handover and deliver pre-start meetings.
* Develop and monitor commercial plans and forecasts.
* Produce and analyze progress reports, costs, and forecasts.
* Engage subcontractors correctly commercially.
* Implement risk management processes and review risk registers.
* Review CVRs monthly and take necessary actions.
* Complete and distribute contract initiation and completion forms.
* Conduct weekly reviews of progress, budget, and planning.
* Chair and attend meetings, ensuring accurate records.
* Manage design timelines to meet project requirements.
* Promote HS&E procedures and ensure legal compliance.
* Assign HS&E responsibilities and provide training.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
* Lead meetings with clients and report on progress.
* Minimize community impact during works.
Skills/experience/qualifications
* Extensive project management experience in civil/water environments.
* Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, risk, and cost control.
* Proficiency with MS Projects (P6 advantageous).
* Knowledge of NEC contracts, including Warning and Compensation mechanisms.
* HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualification.
* SMSTS and CSCS cards.
* Experience with pre-qualification and tendering for multi-discipline projects.
* Strong people management and mentoring skills.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) or equivalent.
