We are the Own Brand team at Sportpursuit, designing, developing & producing products for 19 different brands across a wide variety of sports, including cycling, outdoors, skiing, water sports, equestrian and much more.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Product Photographer & Image Editor. As we're a fully e-commerce business it's important that all our online assets are of the highest standard and that's where you come in
You will be responsible for taking photographs of all our Own Brand products, ranging from cycling apparel to outdoor footwear and stand up paddle boards. These images need to show the products in their best light, giving the customer a clear idea of the fit and features, in order to aid their purchase decision.
You will also be responsible for leading the location & lifestyle shoot research, organisation & planning to present for approval, adhering to budgets, attending the shoots and generally being the main point of contact.
Once the photos are taken, the work isn't over. Post-production editing is where the magic really happens. This is when you will need to fine-tune the images, adjusting colours, retouching flaws and making sure the product looks its absolute best.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, organise and maintain a photographic database of all product images
* Manage product photoshoots from concept to post-production
* Create product imagery that is of the highest quality, on mannequins or models and close ups of all features and details
* Ensure consistency in color, style, and branding across all visual assets
* Edit all imagery so all products look their absolute best on site – re-sizing, re-touching, colour correction
* Managing tracker of status for product & location imagery, so it's clear for Merchandiser when imagery will be available for uploading
* Ensure edited image availability is accessible to the wider team, based on Critical Path timings
* Setting up the lighting and camera equipment
* Manage all studio product photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, mannequins and backdrops
* Organise model castings and present options for selection based on suitability for each product type & brand, inc for location shoots
* Develop and maintain relationships with models & model agencies
* Coordination & planning of location & lifestyle shoots with external photographer
* Research location shoot photographers and compare costs
* Researching & selecting location of the lifestyle shoots
* Prepare and pack samples for travel
* Manage budget for location shoots - create cost overviews, adhering to budgets
* Studio video content – creation & editing
* Ad-hoc social media video content, to supplement external photographers
* Coming up with innovative and creative ideas for product photoshoots
* Staying up to date with the latest trends in the photography industry
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience working as a Product Photographer and/or Image Editor
* A good working knowledge of Adobe's Photoshop & Lightroom is essential
* Experience with Adobe After Effects and Bridge software is preferred
* AI knowledge or experience would be a bonus
* Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or Photography, or a related field is desirable but not essential
* An attractive portfolio of past work will be an advantage.
* Good understanding on lighting techniques to maximise the appearance of each product type
* Good time management and decision-making skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work any time as well as on weekends (where necessary for location shoots, but this is compensated with TOIL)
* Willingness to travel as per location shoot requirements
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to come up with innovative ideas.
* Experience working with different cameras and lighting equipment.
Travel requirements:
* Our London based office will be the location for the majority of studio shoots, plus all samples are stored there.
* Travel for location photo shoots – as required
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
