We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly effective Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who will take strategic responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school.

Responsibilities
* Lead on all safeguarding and child protection matters, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education)
* Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, liaising with external agencies where appropriate
* Provide advice, support, and training to staff to ensure a strong safeguarding culture
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date safeguarding records
* Work closely with the senior leadership team to promote the wellbeing and safety of all pupils
Qualifications
* Has substantial experience in safeguarding within an educational setting
* Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Is committed to ensuring the highest standards of child protection and welfare
* Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external agencies
* Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references required; pre‑employment checks carried out in line with KCSIE
* Eligibility requires an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check
* Must be able to speak fluent English; application subject to Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)

Salary: Grade F (SCP 26-31) £37,280 – £41,771 Full time equivalent
