Alongside is the new name for Julian House. We work with people experiencing social exclusion across the South and West of England, providing outreach, accommodation and support. Our clients may be sleeping rough, fleeing abuse, rebuilding after trauma, leaving prison, recovering from addiction, or trying to settle safely in a new community. About the Role:
As a Resettlement & Integration Support Worker, you ll play a pivotal role in helping individuals and families begin a new chapter of their lives in South Gloucestershire. This is a truly rewarding opportunity where no two days are the same and where your work will have a meaningful, lasting impact. Every day, you ll empower people, build confidence, and support them on their journey towards independence and belonging.
You ll work closely with refugee individuals and families resettled through UK Government schemes such as UKRS and the Afghan Resettlement Scheme, providing personalised, client centred support tailored to each household s needs. From helping people access healthcare, education, housing, and benefits, to supporting engagement in meaningful activities, you ll be a trusted guide as families navigate their new life in the UK.
Through building strong, supportive relationships, you ll equip people with the skills, knowledge, and encouragement they need to thrive independently. This is a role where your compassion, commitment, and dedication will directly shape positive futures and make a real difference within the local community.
What you ll be doing:
* Empower individuals and families by providing support that builds confidence and promotes independence.
* Lead on multi-agency coordination, organising and facilitating meetings between families and professionals involved in their support to ensure everyone is working together effectively.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring high-quality case management and clear communication.
* Help families access key services, including schools, language classes, suitable housing, healthcare and wellbeing support.
