We are currently working with a Chorley based organisation who are looking for a People Advisor to join their People Team on a full-time permanent basis.
Salary for the People Advisor is between GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 DOE.
The purpose of the role is to provide front line advice and management support on a range of people matters and to assist in the delivery of the people agenda to help ensure the organisation achieves its stated outcomes. You will be a role model for managers and colleagues ensuring that the culture remains fair and people feel empowered to work for the organisation.
The Role:
* First point of contact for all things 'people' - escalating complex queries to the Head of HR
* Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
* Coach and train managers at all levels on a range of low level HR issues
* Take ownership of the employee engagement initiatives for the organisation
* Support with the implementation of HRIS systems
* Monitor and manage all the relevant HR spreadsheets and databases, ensuring all of the HR data is easily accessible and fit for purpose
* Manage the on/offboarding processes
* Design and delivery HR related training for managers
* Look after L&D activity including taking responsibility for the apprenticeship system
* Support with rewards and recognition projects and processes
* Support the Head of HR with adhoc HR project-work
Requirements:
* Full range of HR Generalist experience including L&D, recruitment, ER case management, HR policies and procedures, HR systems management, HR project support, etc
* CIPD Level 5
* Excellent relationship building skills with managers at all levels
* Up to date knowledge of employment law
* Passionate about all things 'people' with a proactive attitude towards day-to-day HR activities
