We are seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) on behalf of our client to manage Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews and Child Protection (CP) Conferences, ensuring all voices are heard and care plans are effectively implemented. This role is key to quality assurance, service improvement, and safeguarding best practice.

This role is key to quality assurance, service improvement, and safeguarding best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Chair LAC Reviews and CP Conferences in line with legislation, regulations, and organisational procedures.
* Monitor care/protection plans, ensuring actions are completed on time and outcomes are tracked.
* Advocate for children, ensuring their wishes are considered and acted upon.
* Promote engagement of children and families in decision-making.
* Provide professional guidance, contribute to policy development, and support service improvement.
* Liaise with internal teams, partner agencies, and external stakeholders.
* Visit childrens residential homes and ensure compliance with regulations.
Essential Criteria
* Professional Social Work qualification.
* Current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council.
* Post-qualification experience in child care/child protection.
