As Resident Medical Officer, you’ll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Hospital Hexham. This is a 27‑bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital is built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment.
The RMO is the Doctor covering on calls between 5 pm and 9 am on weekdays and 9 am‑9 am weekend shifts. Generally the RMO will work on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off every week.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is…
* Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
* An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
* Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
* Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
* Committed to continued professional development
