Job Description
Job Purpose
The role will be to build, develop and manage trusted relationships with current and potential clients. The role will involve providing personalised investment advice and portfolio management to the client, ensuring that investment portfolios are managed in line with the Company's Investment philosophies and process.
1. To look after and support client needs
2. To plan, implement and execute the annual Business plan in line with agreed individual targets.
3. To build new client relationships and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimise attrition, and to deliver new instructions and referrals as a result of satisfied clients
4. Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information provided is up to date, technically accurate and meets clients’ needs
5. To construct & maintain suitable portfolios in line with the clients’ requirements, circumstances, tax situation and attitude to risk
6. To review portfolios regularly and make portfolio changes consulting with colleagues, where appropriate
7. To place deals accurately and in a timely fashion
8. To work in partnership with Financial Planning (FP)and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to develop client relationships
9. Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times and in line with Group policy
10. To strive for no complaints and where they are received ensure that they are raised with the Client Resolution team in a timely fashion and assist in bringing them to a satisfactory resolution
11. Ensure that knowledge and skills are maintained and developed in line with industry, regulatory and internal requirements by undertaking regular and appropriate CPD in order to reach their full potential (for the wider benefit of the Group)
12. Contribute to the business development design and implementation initiatives across the location, working with Managing Partners, Regional Managing Partners and key stakeholders deliver positive outcomes
13. Assist in the induction, mentoring and development of new Investment Managers
14. Undertakes supervision of direct reports, ensuring T&C regulations and Evelyn Partners suitability processes are adhered to, and all documentation requirements completed and submitted
Qualifications
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
15. Business acumen together with experience in developing and implementing business plans.
16. Proven track record of leading pitches and winning new business
17. Extensive experience of working within an investment management environment servicing high net worth private individuals, institutions and charities
18. Proven experience of managing client investment portfolios and providing investment advice
19. Proven ability to remodel newly acquired portfolios, bringing them into line with the investment policy
20. Technical / product knowledge and effective communication of wide-ranging investment management strategies and solutions
21. Ability to work well in pressurised environment and prioritise work
22. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
23. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
24. Ability to mentor, train and develop investment management colleagues
25. Extensive experience of operating within a risk management framework together with a thorough understanding of the risks and threats pertaining to a private client business
Professional Qualifications and Education
26. Holds a relevant level 6 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
