Responsibilities
We are recruiting a Category Manager for our curriculum portfolio, responsible for:
* Managing the Sport, Music, and Humanities product ranges.
* Researching governmental funding and aligning product campaigns accordingly, ensuring timely surface of ranges for pivotal moments.
* Understanding customer and curriculum needs to source or develop suitable products.
* Building partnerships with organizations and consultants.
* Reviewing categories to match products to curriculum needs and identify gaps.
* Analyzing competitors to maintain impactful, curriculum-rich product ranges.
* Understanding customer needs to source or articulate concepts to the NPD team with commercial viability.
* Identifying when curricular content enrichment is needed to maximize sales.
* Collaborating with the International team on curriculum requirements.
* Supporting our commercial teams by articulating product differentiation aligned with teaching methods and ethos.
* Coordinating with Marketing and Digital teams for promotional campaigns.
* Developing relationships with industry experts, educationalists, and providers for insights and strategy support.
* Working with Procurement to ensure product availability, especially key products.
* Managing product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, optimizing sales, margins, and inventory.
Experience
* Understanding curriculum requirements, learning outcomes, and government guidance.
* Knowledge of market lifecycles and peak trading periods.
* Producing and analyzing management reports.
* Building relationships with education experts and practitioners.
* Experience in managing curriculum events and exhibitions.
* Collaborating with NPD to develop resources aligned with curriculum and learning outcomes from EY to junior levels.
* Creating commercially viable curriculum product ranges, managing assortment, pricing, positioning, and timing.
* Maintaining knowledge of government policies, funding, pedagogical practices, and strategic priorities.
